Join Tim Bowman, Xometry’s lead CNC Applications Engineering Manager and machining expert, as he shares insights about all aspects of running a machine shop based on decades of mechanical and industrial engineering experience. In this episode, Tim focuses on the biggest question facing machine shop owners: what is the best way to efficiently quote jobs, run the floor, and drum up more business to keep your pipeline full? It’s a hard balancing act and there’s nothing like 25 years of hands-on experience to put this in perspective.

Smarter Machining is the culmination of Tim’s lifelong passion and mission to help American machine shops to improve their operations, develop their teams, and build a successful business with sustainable growth. Tim has operated/managed machine shops for over 25 years while honing his machining and engineering skills at leading companies including Ingersoll Rand and Dana. He has also facilitated the development of engineering/machining technical schools at local colleges while instructing and mentoring aspiring machinist and machine shop owners.
