Whether you’re building a new site, or updating an existing one, here are 5 quick and easy things you can do to improve your online presence.

1. Make it easy to contact you.

Whether it’s a contact form on your site or a highly visible phone number, it’s important that customers are able to quickly see how to get in touch with you.  You’d be shocked to hear how often people forget this. You’ve worked hard to get customers to your site, now make sure they can contact you.

2. Include an image of your shop.

Customers want to know who they’re working with and what the facility looks like.  If possible, have a professional photo taken of your shop floor to showcase your machines and the look and feel of your shop.  It’s a worthwhile investment.

3. Add a customer testimonial.

While it’s great for you to tell customers how great you are, it’s even better for them to hear about you from current or past clients.  Putting a testimonial in a prominent place on your site can significantly improve your conversion.

4. Display memberships and certifications.

Are you ISO certified? ITAR registered? A women owned business? A Xometry Partner? Add your memberships, certifications and registrations to your site to add additional credibility.  You worked hard to get these and should show them off.

5. Show your capabilities.

Among the first things a customer wants to know about you is what your shop is capable of. If they don’t see that you can handle their job, they may look for someone else.  Give yourself an advantage by listing your capabilities front and center on your website.

An example of a shop with a great website is Halsey Manufacturing (pictured above). Halsey, a Xometry Partner out of Denton, TX, strives to keep their site informative and real, and the result is truly exceptional.
