We recently launched Xometry Finishing Service, an online platform where anyone from our Manufacturing Partners to customers can send parts they’ve created to other in-network Xometry partners for post-processing work. This is different than Xometry’s turnkey services, where we manage the production and finishing; Xometry Finishing Service expands the convenience of Xometry to projects manufactured anywhere.
The Xometry Finishing Service allows anyone to send quote requests to a select group of Xometry’s post-processing manufacturing partners at once. Then, you can receive and evaluate quotes and manage orders in one convenient location. There is even a chat communication feature to discuss the project and share documents directly with your potential suppliers. All of this integrates into a simple interface focused on helping you make a buying decision.
Already have your go-to metal finishers? You can also invite your preferred suppliers into the Xometry Finishing network to help streamline the process further via the online platform. Our finishing network offers competitive pricing and speeds up the supplier selection process without multiple emails.
You can receive quotes on a range of finishing services including:
- Type II Anodizing
- Type III Anodizing
- Chemical Conversion Coating
- Heat Treatment
- Conversion & Pretreatments
- Mechanical Finishing
- Adhesives & Coatings
- Metal Plating
- Painting & Marking
- Engraving and Serialization
- Military Spec Coatings
- Proprietary Coatings like NiTuff®
- Surface Preparation
- Certifications and Compliances (ISO 13485, NADCAP, RoHS, ITAR, etc.)
If a Xometry customer has already ordered parts through the Xometry Instant Quoting Engine℠ and requested finishes for that job, these jobs will continue to be finished by the Partner who has accepted the job.
