Custom Tooling
McNally Industries partnered with the US Army Blackhawk Program Office to transition the Rotor Universal Positioning Handling Integrated System (RUPHIS) from design to market. The RUPHIS Blade Clamp tool improves maintenance efficiencies while ensuring maintainer safety. McNally leveraged the experience and success of RUPHIS to deliver the Big RUPHIS for CH-47 Chinook support and maintenance. McNally has delivered over 500 RUPHIS/Big RUPHIS Blade Clamps to our Services and their Allies around the world.
Additional Machining Capabilities
In 1987 McNally Industries became the sole source supplier for the entire ammunition handling system for the Mk45 5” gun on board the DDG class Destroyer. The product contains over 1,500 different part numbers. We have manufactured over 150 systems for the United States Navy and several Navies of the free world. McNally Industries has also executed multiple long-term contracts from the US Navy to provide value engineering for improvements and upgrades to the Mk6 Ammunition Hoist. This multi-decade program includes engineering, manufacturing of components, management of large sub-contracts, complex logistics, integrated product teams, assembly, functional testing, check-out and storage of the finished system.

McNally Industries offers disciplined value engineering services for all program phases. From early design engineering during new product design and technical development to redesign, modernization and reverse engineering during sustainment. Our team has a full compliment of experience and tools including 3D Part Scanner, 3D Printer, CAD Modeling Software and Rapid Turn Machining Center to support unique program needs.
McNally Industries uses state of the art reverse engineering tools and techniques together with deep institutional manufacturing knowledge to develop both mechanical and electrical Level III technical data packages (TDPs) for our customers. These TDPs provide the information necessary to enable our customers to competitively manufacture, procure, and provision items essentially identical to the original item.
