Dr. Hani C. Gomez is a highly skilled MEMS (Microelectromechanical Systems) Engineer with over a decade of expertise in designing, fabricating, and characterizing MEMS devices for biotechnical and microrobotic applications. Holding a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Gomez has a wealth of industry and academic experience, having driven innovations in MEMS and led interdisciplinary projects that enhance cell therapy delivery systems and microrobotic technologies. Throughout their career, Dr. Gomez has received numerous accolades, including the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship and the UC Berkeley Chancellor’s Fellowship. Their work encompasses both advanced research and applied engineering, where they have developed proof-of-concept designs, streamlined experimental processes, and collaborated with diverse teams to achieve key project objectives. In addition to their engineering achievements, Dr. Gomez has made substantial contributions to academia by establishing UC Berkeley’s inaugural course on Social Justice in EECS and actively participating in initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion within the engineering field.
