How many years of experience do you have in injection molding?

I’ve been working with Xometry for the past four years, but I’ve been involved in the process for seven.

What’s your favorite thing to mold?

Anything from polypropylene! It’s got a lot of great properties and is really easy to process.

What’s your favorite IM tip?

If you know you’re moving to injection molding, feel free to start that conversation early. It’s going to make things a lot easier on the back end.

Also, if you are new to Xometry, be prepared for thorough communication and assistance with your product. It is our job to bring to life what amazing idea you have or whatever project you are working on today. You can expect that we are here to help. Alongside myself, there is a team of people with years of injection molding experience ready to help launch your next product.

How many years of experience do you have in injection molding?

I have worked on the design-side of molded parts for about ten years, and with our molding and tooling experts at Xometry for the last five years.

What’s your favorite thing to mold?

I love working on beautiful, glossy, parts made of polycarbonate or acrylic - every project is a showpiece!

    What’s your favorite IM tip?

Start your DFM feedback in parallel with your prototyping efforts. This will save you time and headaches when you move to molding.

What’s the most unique/memorable project you can share with us?

My first molded project was an ergonomic button pad. I prototyped it first with clay, then carved balsa foam, and once the feel was right I moved to CAD for SLS prints to share with our customer. It was a learning experience to take a design from 3D printing to molding, and once I had the product in hand it was thrilling!

How many years of experience do you have in injection molding?

Close to eight years and all are in contract manufacturing for injection molding. I’ve done five to six years in medical molding and over two years with Xometry!

What’s your favorite thing to mold?

I am biased toward medical parts so I love seeing assembled, functional handles.

      What’s your favorite IM tip?

      Don't forget to add draft!

What’s the most unique/memorable project you can share with us?

Seeing a program go from "start to finish." I was able to work on multiple programs that are now being used in hospitals to help patients with different medical issues.

How many years of experience do you have in injection molding?

A little over 12 years, focused on pushing the limits for quick turn tooling and higher precision prototyping

What’s your favorite thing to mold?

Anything complex! I love the challenge of figuring out how to tool up a part!

        What’s your favorite IM tip?

You can do just about anything, with enough time and money. How much do you want to spend?

What’s the most unique/memorable project you can share with us?

All of the successful projects that made it to market with Xometry parts!
